Spine

Program Leader

The aim of the Spine Program is to explore factors affecting traumatic injuries of the spine.  Research focused on improving patient outcomes is a priority. We encourage and facilitate investigator driven research relating to classifications, management and outcomes of spinal injuries.

Current projects include:

  • Outcomes of cervical facet joint fractures
  • Long term outcomes of patients managed in a halothoracic brace at The Alfred
  • Acute management and longer term outcomes of patients requiring a Boston overlap brace (BOB) for traumatic thoracic or lumbar vetebral fractures
